I'm a 45-year old mother of 3 chidren. Besides me, my husband and our children our family includes a mixed breed Tiima, three White Swiss Shepherd dogs, one Labrador Retriever, Mimi cat and two horses (Sylvi and Omppu). We live in a small village surrounded by fields in Pyhtää, witch provides nearly boundless space for the animals to move around freely.
Animals have been my passion since I was young. I got my first dog as a present for my self when I turned 22 years. The mixed breed Emilia, my perfect companion, lived over 14 years as our family's beloved pet.
My love for the White Shepherds light in 2010 when Kokkomäen Avatar (Mila) became a part of our pack after Emilia past away. Unfortunately Mila stayed with us only for a short time for she was diagnosed with leukemia right as she turned 8 months.
The mixed breed Tiima came to file the empty spot left by Mila's sudden passing. Latter after Tiima came, Mila's breeder Jaana Ukkonen suggested taking a dog from Sweden for co-ownership. And so we went to get Milli (Barvestad's Queen Hensutsen at Giza) from Annicka's Barvestad's kennel. Milli turned out to be a lovely family dog who's loyal to her own. As a training buddy Milli is motivated and prone to serve.
Massive thanks to Annicka for bringing her into the world and into our family! And also thank you Jaana for this cooperation that created the base for our friendship. And first of all thank you for your help and advice!<3
At what point exactly was I completely invested in my cause... It's difficult to say. I was just.. absorbed into the dog world; my own breed (WSS) as well as other breeds intrigued me more and more and soon my interest in dog shows was awakened. In 2013 I first competed the Ring Steward (RS) course and also the Basic course for Breeders during the spring. The idea was to apply for my own kennel affix latter on when the time was right. After completing the RS course I was more or less active in the rings, sometimes as a ring steward and other times as a participant myself. Since then dog show have been one of my many hobbies with my dogs, others including obedience and from the Service dog side; human search and animal search training.
In 2014 I became even more active in the dog community as my dog count went up. We welcomed Marta (Marta de Conquistadores del Azahar) from Spain into our pack at the end of 2013. Marta is desexed and not suitable for breeding. From Millis first litter (Kokkomäen) wanted to keep one orange collared female puppy, Mea to grow beside her mother. She charmed me way back when she was a puppy and now she is the apple of my eye. From the puppies born to Millis second litter, Emilia's Wish First -litter I also kept one puppy, Penny. She lives near us in Kotka with Anita. In 2018 the Next-litter was born, from witch I decided to leave three dogs, one male and two females, under my ownership. What are those young ladies and lads about, we'll see in the future. My thoughts and goals with White Shepherds and for breeding have been set. I have signed breeders commitment 30.6.2014 and I got my kennel affix Emilia's Wish in November at the same year. I want to keep my breeding small scaled and put a lot of effort into my every litter. Every combination will be strict considered and valued with heart. My goal is to breed healty, balanced, stable, good tempered, typical White Swiss Shepherds. Family members with the will to serve. Puppies will grow amidst our family and everyday life, getting used to the different sounds, sights and smells of the world.
Don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested of my thoughts or my dogs.
